Synergistic effects of plant hormones on spontaneous late-ripening mutant of ‘Jinghong’ peach detected by transcriptome analysis

Abstract Objectives Peach (Prunus persica L.) is an ancient fruit tree that originated from China. It the climacteric belonging to genus Prunus in family Rosaceae. Ethylene, which produced during ripening, accelerates softening, and therefore peaches cannot be stored for a long time. Materials Methods To study mechanism of late transcriptome analysis late-ripening mutant ‘Jinghong’ peach was performed identify genes pathways involved ripening. Results A total 1805, 1511, 2309 were found differentially expressed W2_vs_M1, W3_vs_M2, W3_vs_M3, respectively. Functional enrichment showed they related carotenoid biosynthesis, starch sucrose metabolism plant hormone signal transduction, flavonoid photosynthesis. The expression trends ripening-related encode transcription factors transduction-related enzymes similar. Conclusions will help elucidate transcriptional regulatory network development spontaneous provide theoretical basis understanding molecular
